We sailed the Seven Seas Splendor from Barcelona to Lisbon in June 2025 — a 7-night voyage that reminded me why I keep coming back to luxury cruising. I’ve been on several lines, and RSSC definitely holds its own. The ship itself is gorgeous. It has that small-ship charm but still feels big enough to have everything you'd want. Our suite was really well laid out — spacious, smartly designed, and the bed was super comfortable. Honestly, no complaints on the hard product at all. What stood out most, though, was the warmth. Crew members greeted us (and pretty much everyone else) with genuine smiles all day long. I’d honestly rather have that kind of friendliness than perfectly polished service with no warmth behind it. It made a difference, especially when traveling as a family. Dining was a mixed bag, but let me be clear: this is among the best vs. other luxury cruises. I really appreciate that specialty restaurants are included — and for the most part, they were very good. Prime 7 was a favorite: great portions, solid steaks. Sette Mari had promise but didn’t quite land for us. And while Compass Rose was fine, it didn’t wow. That said, it’s still impressive to have this level of variety and quality without having to nickel-and-dime guests. Chartreuse was terrific. Now, for the nitpicks. After six breakfasts and a few lunches at La Veranda, I was surprised that servers still hadn’t picked up on simple drink preferences — especially since they were consistent (hot water for 5 out of 6 people, every time). It’s a small thing, but on a luxury line, I’d expect a bit more attention to detail. We also noticed a clear difference in how one senior server treated different guests — very warm and chatty with some, noticeably distant with others (us included). It wasn’t offensive, just awkwardly obvious. On a more positive note, I have to give a shoutout to Esteban Betancourt, our concierge. He took over from a not-so-great cruise consultant partway through the booking process and was an absolute pro — fast, helpful, and just really pleasant to deal with. If you're booking with Regent, definitely ask for him if you can. All in all, it was a great cruise — not perfect, but still very much worth it. Looking forward to sailing with Regent again soon.
I recently sailed on Regents Seven Seas Splendor, to the Mediterranean. The Splendor is stunning! The ship is perfectly designed with many intimate social spaces, two of my favorite areas on the ship were the Observation deck and the Serene spa pool and deck area, very relaxing. The all-suite, with balcony staterooms are spacious and luxurious, with large bath and shower and walk in closet. The onboard experience offers exceptional customer service, upscale gourmet dining, with four specialty restaurants. The all-inclusive experience includes unlimited Beverages, specialty restaurants, wifi, pre-paid gratuities, valet laundry service, in-suite minibar replenished daily, and 24 hour room service, the best value at sea. And the Serene spa and wellness spa offering pampering treatments. The curated itineraries are unique to the guests interests and paired up with the perfect all-inclusive adventure on port. I highly recommend Regent Seven Seas Splendor for your next cruise vacation! The best of memories.
From start to finish, everything about this cruise felt luxurious. The ease of boarding, the spacious uncrowded public spaces, all beautiful and beautifully maintained. Our stateroom (a Serenity Suite) was wonderfully spacious with ample storage throughout (including a walk-in closet!). Even the bathroom was beautiful - roomy, with a double vanity and a separate bathtub and shower. The staff seems to be constantly working, and almost always with a smile. The clientele was a lovely mix of ages - several mult-generation families, and a generally younger demographic than on our last cruise of this size (650-750-ish guests). We enjoyed all the restaurants, especially Sette Mari, Prime 7 and Pacific Rim. Excursions were well organized and generally well done. A standout was the walking tour of Taormina with a fabulous local guide, followed by lunch at the Godfather Villa of 'Don Tomassino' - where we were greeted by a trio of very entertaining musicians and hosted by the villa's real owner. The overall experience with Regent felt luxurious, without being stuffy or overly formal. (Note: children's programs and entertainment were N/A to us, so not ranking those).
Great, large cabins and balconies. Large walk in closet, more drawers than I’ve ever had in a cruise ship. Never had a double sink vanity before. Well appointed room soaking tub and rain shower. Best food I’ve had on a ship with several specialty restaurants. Italian, Asian, French, steak. I especially liked the Pacific Rim pan Asian. All inclusive - drinks, gratuities, restaurants. Shore excursions also included, a nice assortment, some better than others. Docked and anchored in smaller ports, and we were often the only or one of two ships, even in Rome. Very friendly, helpful crew. Morning coffee had all the choices with any snacks you can imagine. Great croissants. Smaller ship, 750 capacity, so smaller stage and smaller productions. Nice ships band. Several small venues for music. Regent is high end. Many suites with butlers. High crew to guest ratio. My friends who play pickleball would like the Splendor.
