This was my family's first cruise and we went all out. There were four of us in an extended deck room on deck 16. So it was tight quarters, but we were able to find our space. We probably didn't take full advantage of the cruise entertainment, but what we did experience was enjoyable. The magic show at Spellbound was entertaining, but not worth the $45 per person. We bought the premier package for each of us, and that was an extra $770 per person, but fully worth it since we did specialty dining all nights but one. Just make sure you make reservations well in advance of the cruise. The dining was mostly good. Umai Teppanyaki was my favorite and Caesar was our chef. Very entertaining and funny. Coastal Grill and Sabatini's Tratorrie (sp?) Were close seconds. The susshi place was a close third, then Eclipse and Butcher's Block. Service on the ship was top notch, although the drinks were weak everywhere but at my favorite hangout, Omally's Irish Pub. I need to give a shout out to Peter, Angel, and most especially Anthony. They took great care of me. Anthony felt like a friend by the end of the trip. The music was great at Omally's, but the service was fantastic! And Henry, who took care of our cabin was amazing. Friendly and always willing to make sure we were comfortable. I never once got into a pool on the ship as the crowds were a turn off, but what would you expect? I was not surprised by this, although a little disappointed. Overall, it was a great vacation and we will cruise with Princess again.
