We did back-to-back sailings on Celebrity Beyond the weeks of January 4 and 11, 2026. A bit about us. We've been on 24 Celebrity cruises and normally book either Aqua Class or Concierge Class cabins. On Edge class ships, we far prefer whatever cabin we can get that has a true balcony as opposed to an infinite verandah. We like a door that closes while the AC stays so we can have two separate spaces. We could book suites but choose not to because we don't see the value. We've sailed to pretty much every Caribbean Island at least a couple of times. We aren't big drinkers and only take a drinks package if it's included at no additional charge. We're not super social - we enjoy spending time together. WEATHER: Lovely. Mid-upper 20sC. A bit of rain a couple of days. CABIN: Sunset Verandah. Great size. Wonderful views. Quiet. No creaking or moaning. There were 2 lounge chairs on the balcony. Yes, a long walk to the elevators. Made up for some of the desserts and ice cream! DINING: We had anytime dining and ate in the MDR most evenings, usually at about 7 PM. Never had a wait of more than a minute or two. Often got a window seat. Being patient and pleasant to the hostess and servers pays off because they often remembered us. Favourites: Normandie and Cypress. (Normandie for the baked brie and Sirloin en Croute). A bit more on food below. Breakfast usually in the loyalty breakfast. Lunch in the dining room on sea days, and buffet on port days. That dining room lunch is a secret that a lot of people miss! Ate in specialty dining 3 times in the second week (Rooftop Garden Grill, FineCut, Eden). Food was excellent in all three. Can't compare them ... all good at different price points. ACTIVITIES: * Shows - only went to two shows. The timing just didn't work out because we'd finish dinner around 8 and there seemed to be few things to do between 8 and 9:30. This was probably the only disappointment of the cruise. We wished there were more game shows or activities between shows. * Entertainment - there were some good entertainers but most of them played really mellow 90s music. A suggestion for cruise directors - please book some solo artists or duos that play upbeat music. I can only take so much stuff in minor keys before I start to fall asleep. (Hence missing the late evening show in the theatre!) What did we do instead? * Gym: the gym was great. We often went in the afternoon and it wasn't crowded. There were a few prima donnas hanging out by the mirror but it was usually easy to use the machine you wanted. * Casino: I spent some time in the casino. The slots were very kind during week 1 and took a bit back week 2. There was almost always a server around offering drinks to those who were actively gambling. * Walking Track: We liked the walking track. It was generally easy to use except for those moments when some sunbather would decide that they needed to put their sunbed in the middle of the track. Really? * Solarium: We visited the solarium in the evening a couple of times and it was very relaxing and a great way to get away from all of the downbeat 90s music. * Football - real football and US football: There were a lot of football games while we were travelling - Premier League, CFB, NFL. We watched some in our cabin, one in Craft Social (jam packed), and caught parts of a few in the Rooftop Garden Grill. I read some questions about the 'big' US games prior to our sailing and although there was interest, you could always find a seat. So they're popular, but a very small percentage watched. SERVICE: * Our stateroom attendant - Dony - was spectacular. A throwback to the old days when you would leave your cabin for 2 minutes and it would be cleaned when you return. Pleasant, helpful. * Excellent service in all of the restaurants, bars, and Cafe al Bacio. * We went to the Captain's Club happy hour several evenings and the best service was in Eden. The servers always were attentive and gave quick service. I did tip them some cash a couple of times each week. Only place we had not great service during the Happy Hour was in the Sunset Bar when the server actually whined to me, "oh - you're on the Elite Happy Hour" when I gave her our cards. No tip for you! * Cafe al Bacio - drank some coffee, enjoyed the iced tea * (*both gratis with our loyalty level). FOOD: Gosh the food was good. WAAAYYY better than what we've had on recent Celebrity cruises. Whoever was doing the meat did an amazing job because everything was tender, juicy, and beautifully seasoned. Also worth noting, the desserts in the buffet were actually tasty. Sometimes OVC desserts look pretty but they're filled with juice or something and they're mushy and disappointing. These desserts were great. So good that I would actually take a plate back to the cabin in the afternoon for a little snack with a glass of wine. RANDOM: * This was our first back-to-back and the process was easy. Took a total of about 45 minutes to be processed. The best two hours of the cruise were the two hours when about 200 of us had the run of the ship. * The Captain and senior leadership team were everywhere and very easy to talk to and eager to hear about our experiences. * There were 10 ships in port when we boarded, and 9 when we disembarked. Our shuttle driver (from the downtown Hilton) took the tunnel and our trip from the hotel to walking on to the ship was about 35 minutes. * Used the ship transfer to the FLL airport at the end of the cruise and that was poorly organised. No announcements. No directions. We somehow made it to the right bus although the driver left us at the wrong terminal which caused all kinds of problems. That's on me for trusting what he said and not doing my own research. * We get 240 minutes of internet as part of our loyalty package and so many times we had to have minutes reinstated because the Internet would come on as soon as the app was opened. There's definitely an issue there. When we did use the internet, it was fast. PORTS: This was a back-to-back and we were in Puerta Plata, DR two days. * Puerta Plata, DR - there's a lovely development with shopping, restaurants, pool, lazy river, sand, etc. right at the port. We didn't feel any need to leave that area. Clean, convenient, safe, free! * St Martin - Ship's Excursion to Magen's Bay. We've been there before. This particular trip felt chintzy because the operator didn't even include a chair or umbrella as part of the package. So you basically paid for a transfer. Beach 3/5 because no chairs included, it was busy, and very rocky. * St Kitts - Ship's Excursion to Nevis beach. We've never gone over to Nevis before and we will definitely do this again. Fun ride over on a water taxi. Well-organised operator and we all had chairs and a shady space. Washrooms nearby. Beach 5/5. Lovely sand, mild waves, nice chairs, opportunity to get food and drink. * San Juan, PR - Ship's Excursion to Isla Verde Beach. Never gone to a beach in PR before! Very well organised operator. Friendly and stayed with the group all day at the beach. Included chairs and umbrellas. Lovely beach. Beautiful sand. Beach 5/5. Waves were rough because it's on the Atlantic but the water was the warmest of the 3 beaches. There were restaurants and a washroom (in restaurant) across the street but the prices for drinks were absolutely ridiculous. $12US for a small bottle of Perrier. I may as well have just drank Pina Coladas as they were the same price. OVERALL: Probably our best vacation experience yet on Celebrity. We came home relaxed and needing to go on a diet
Well I was disappointed that the Beyond ship does not have the ice bar or the Murano restaurant. In my opinion the restaurant upgrades were quite disappointing. The same bread and a portion of the same options showed up at every meal. The cruise away port entertainment consisted of watching a bunch of ladies my age learning to do the Mariachi. It was painful to watch. The port calls were too short to do a report pass. Although we had the premium drink package that covers drinks up to $19, the edge bar had no premium liquor like grand maniere or Cointreau and bartenders did not care . The entertainment crew is minimal. People looked bored. Aqua class room and shower is great but tje spa facilities are over crowded . Who wants to shower with another 60-70 year old of either sex in their bathing suits in a spa?
Overall the cruise was very good. The staff was the best part. Our server “made” at the cosmopolitan restaurant was my biggest highlight of the trip. He was working 12 hour days and only ever had a smile on his face. He learned our names, orders, preferences and gave us really cool napkin animals. I don’t normally leave huge tips for just one person but I left him tip after tip because I’ve never had service like his. His assistant server Patricia was also amazing. Always had a smile on her face and would greet us when she was working around the ship by name. The only reason why this cruise isn’t 5 stars for me is because the breakfast is sub par for the money and the pools are tiny. The overall entertainment was amazing Kate was fantastic. Super bubbly and happy to be there. Plus the games were fun and had lots of opportunities to get involved. Overall a great time and would recommend if you want a less child and more adult cruise with a luxury/relaxing style.
We did a Disney cruise before and the food was really bad. Celebrity blew them out of the water. It was just incredible. I’m really hard to please when it comes to food and the expectation was very high, but the cruise definitely met them all. And the bed was super comfortable. We are also very impressed with the wait staff who keep a comfortable distance, but also are very polite and helpful at the same time. The pillows were very comfortable and the movie selection was good also. Also, they just seem to think of every little thing like for example they had grilled onions and grilled mushroom for the burger at the pool bar. I for one was very happy with our decision and specially compared to the Disney cruise. We did this cruise totally blew us out of the water. We’ve already booked our next one with these guys. do not waste your money on Disney.

Kids and Teen Programs
The fun starts at Camp At Sea, our onboard entertainment centre and program designed exclusively for kids ages 3 to 12. Open every day from 9:00am - 10:00pm, Camp at Sea offers kids the opportunity to participate in a number of entertaining activities, including treasure hunts, arts and crafts, sports, and theme parties, all under the supervision of our experienced youth staff. For our teen cruisers, the Teen Club is the place to be. At the Teen Club, they can make new friends and participate in events like video game competitions, teen parties, and culinary classes. Activities are overseen by our team of teen counsellors and offered throughout the day, allowing teens to come and go as they please.
Entertainment On Board
There’s no shortage of entertaining venues on board. Spend the day swimming in the pool with the kids, then watch the sunset while relaxing in one of our elevated hot tubs. Gather on board for movie night under the stars, silent disco parties, hot glass classes, and archery tournaments —so many activities to share.
