The Ama Dara is a beautiful ship and the staff was outstanding. It was amazing that the entire crew always remembered our names!! Food was excellent, and the excursions were very informative. All local guides were very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this cruise. The pre and post itineraries were also excellent with beautiful hotels. The fitness room on the ship is small as expected on this size river boat. Embarkation and disembarkation were easy. One of the best things about our entire trip was how well organized the staff was, especially AK our cruise manager. This was the case from the time we arrived in Bangkok (we were met by our AMA guide even though we arrived a day early) until we departed Hanoi after the post cruise itinerary. We were in cabin 301 which was adequate for the amount of time we spent there. We will definitely do another AMA cruise again!

Our cabin was clean, spacious, and featured a balcony perfect for enjoying breakfast or snacks while taking in the beautiful, ever-changing views along the Mekong River. The excursions were unique, meaningful, and immersive—led by excellent local guides who not only knew the history but also shared personal stories, adding depth and authenticity to every experience. We felt a real connection to the people and culture of both Cambodia and Vietnam. The crew was outstanding—friendly, upbeat, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. They made every guest feel special and even knew everyone’s name! The Cruise Manager was ever-present, approachable, and ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Onboard, we enjoyed regional talks, scarf folding, tea ceremonies, live music, games, and dancing. I laughed, learned, connected with fellow adventurers, and gained a deeper understanding of the region’s history and resilience. A humbling, eye-opening, and truly unforgettable journey. Highly recommended!

Staterooms and suites feature twin balconies, both a French and outside balcony, so you can enjoy the ever-changing scenery however you wish. Additional stateroom amenities include a cosy sitting area, climate-controlled air conditioning, in-room safe and mini bar. Spacious bathrooms have a shower, bathrobe, slippers and hair dryer. Suites have additional enhanced amenities with a large sitting area and bathrooms with both a shower and separate tub.
